Thompson Endorses Cawthorn
for 11th Congressional District

(HENDERSONVILLE, NC) – Thomas H. Thompson, who served 32 years as Henderson County Clerk of Superior Court and eight years as Henderson County Commissioner, has announced he is endorsing Madison Cawthorn for the 11th District Congressional seat.

Thompson recently said that he was “astonished” when he saw the field of candidates running for Congressional District 11.

“I virtually knew no one, and because of that, had no idea how I should vote. I have been involved in politics for 45 years and feel that the electorate in more instances than not are not properly informed,” Thompson said.

Thompson said he challenges all voters to do their research and vote for the person who best portrays their values and beliefs.

“In that I have made my review, I hereby wholeheartedly endorse Madison Cawthorn, a young man who I believe would do the best for our district in Washington,” Thompson said.

Madison Cawthorn is an 8th generation resident of North Carolina’s 11th Congressional district. His ancestors have served Western North Carolina communities for over 200 years, including in the Revolutionary War.

Madison was homeschooled in Hendersonville and was nominated to the U.S. Naval Academy by Rep. Mark Meadows in 2014. However, Madison’s plans were derailed that year after he nearly died in a tragic automobile accident that left him partially paralyzed and in a wheelchair.

Madison’s ordeal built his faith, made him a fighter, helped him appreciate every day, and inspired him to help everyone he encounters overcome whatever adversity they face in their daily lives.

Today, Madison is a small businessman. He is the owner and CEO of a real estate investment company. Madison is also a motivational speaker. He challenges people across the nation to have faith, work hard, play by the rules and pursue the American dream.

A constitutional conservative, Madison is committed to defending the values of faith, family, and freedom that have made America great.

Madison attends Biltmore Church in Hendersonville. He enjoys hunting, cooking, travel, fitness, photography, and videography, and studying history. He is engaged to be married to Cristina Bayardelle.
